Mayor of Coeur d’Alene Steve Widmyer gives the ‘State of the City’ address at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

The city is strong, vivacious, and energized.  Full of people that love the way of life Coeur d’Alene provides.  Mayor Widmyer emphasized the past and future public works projects, giving the audience a clear picture of the trends building up.  He highlighted education and explained the city’s priority on public safety.

Steve Widmyer is hopeful the city government can be a government we can believe in and be proud of.  Widmyer hopes to run a city government that you believe operates for the good of every resident.

Phase 1 of the Four Corners project brought valuable improvements to what is called as Fort Ground Drive and will provide a safer crossing area for pedestrians.  The 2nd phase of the Four Corners project will include a new State park, an improved Memorial Field, and a multi-use parking lot.

.

On top of the Four Corners project 2017 with see the city embark on more projects like a new parking garage to take care of parking needs in the downtown area.  And a complete revitalization of Seltice Way that includes the city’s first 2-lane roundabout and a multi-use walking path for pedestrians.  Neither of these projects would be possible without funding the Coeur d’Alene urban renewal agency, ‘Ignite CDA.’

Coeur d’Alene loves our first responders.  Our police & fire departments have great leaders that are as good as any city can put together.

Enjoy Coeur d’Alene   Enjoy Your City.

2017 will be a great year for Coeur d’Alene.  We are all looking forward to another great year.
