This World famous ski resort and summer time adventure land is an easy 1 hour and 20-minute drive from Coeur d’Alene Idaho.  Pack up the family and have a blast.  There are many fun things to do in Coeur d’Alene.  And Schweitzer Mountain is one of them.  I hear from many of our great students in CDA how they love to go shred the white powder at Schweitzer Mountain.

Schweitzer’s village has 2 condominium/hotels: White Pine Lodge & Selkirk Lodge. Selkirk Lodge offers hotel rooms, with Kitchenettes and bunk beds, making them comfortable Family Suites.

Coeur d’Alene High School students are spending their snow days at Schweitzer Mountain having a blast with their friends doing what Coeur d’Alene kids do on snow days.  Not a better place in the World to be a kid than CDA Idaho.

Take your family and friends to Schweitzer Village and have fun skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, Tubing, and many places to eat, drink and be merry.

Nordic Skiing

Schweitzer’s Nordic trails have over 32 kilometers of Nordic trails with spectacular views with challenging terrain for all levels of people. People who are new to the sport can hire their own personal coach from the Schweitzer’s Snowsports School. Nordic passes are required for access to the Schweitzer Nordic trail system.

The Nordic trails are open daily from 9 am to 4 pm during the winter season.  A track fee is required to use the trail system and can be purchased at the Guest Services ticket window.

Snowbiking

One of the fastest growing winter sports is Snowbiking!

Fat tire snow biking is a great way to stay in shape and have a lot of fun.  The Schweitzer Nordic trails offer a fun time for fat tire Snowbikers. With more than 32 kilometers of Snowbike trails there is a terrain for everybody. Check out our snow bike policies.   If you don’t have a Snowbike? You can rent a snow bike for the day at our ski and ride center.

Snowshoeing

Schweitzer snowshoe trails are open daily during the winter season, during normal operation every day of the season.

Snowshoe out into Hermit’s Hollow designated snowshoe trails following the old growth forest trails and out to Picnic Point and our Nordic Trails.

Snowshoe trail fees are $15 for adults and $12 for kids. Snowshoe rental packages cost $20 at the Ski & Ride Center.

Tubing

Schweitzer Mountain tubing park has 2 lanes for tubing fun that covers more than 100 yards! Tube down the course with your family and friends then relax as you get a tow back up to the top!   Tubing day sessions last 1.5 hours per group.  Tickets are pre-purchased for all tubing groups.

Snowmobiling

Schweitzer Mountain has a popular snowmobiling community that will take your family and friends on a winter adventure.

Snowmobile tours are a fun adventure with an experienced snowmobile guide to show you the best trails to have a blast snowmobiling.   It’s not a cheap adventure but its a lot of fun.   The experience of a lifetime.
