Ramsey Magnet is elementary grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Ramsey is a National Title One School. With 27 qualified teachers as specialists in Art, Music, PE, Special Ed., Speech, Language, and advanced learning.
Ramsey has a full-time principle & vice-principle. Along with a full-time guidance counselor, part time psychologist, full-time media specialist. With highly qualified title one assistants that are reading & math remediation teachers.
Ramsey magnet school teachers inquiry-based study of science. Smart science teaching is integrated into language arts, reading & mathematics curriculum. Students participate in science subjects hands on experiences all year long. Learning how to problem solve and critical thinking so they can think like real scientists. Ramsey students excel because of high expectations. Students experience a supportive learning environment, and frequent monitoring of progress. Hands on science-related experiences include: field trips, clubs, science fairs, hands-on laboratory classes, assemblies, guest speakers, and robotics!

Parents are partners in educating Ramsey’s students. Our Parent Teacher Organization supports our teachers and students with fundraising! Our Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) greet students at the start of school, volunteer in the classroom, & interact with students on the playground and in the cafeteria.
