In spring stop by the Southern end of the lake at Rockford bay and Powderhorn, in Summer your fishing spots are the Eastern part of the lake and the main body, in Fall, look at Midlake, lofts bay, or Carlin bay, finally, in Winter, stop by Midlake to catch your salmon.
Hiking (In and Around Coeur d'Alene)
Of course, while you are there, you have to visit The Coeur d`Alene National Forest. The beautiful forest has lots of hiking options, camping, and thick forest.
Just across the way from Gozzer ranch are some wonderful hiking trails known as Tubbs Hill Nature Trails. The trails offer great views around the lake and a chance to recharge in nature. At just 2 miles, it is a very accessible trail that hikers with weak knees or a lower level of fitness can also enjoy, the loop will only take an hour or so.
If you like you can make your hike more strenuous and head to the summit. While hiking Tubbs Hill, stop to watch the Eagles diving and scooping up fish or time it right and you can enjoy the sunset as it goes down on the lake.
Just around the corner you also have Mineral Ridge National recreation trail, this one-way loop takes 2-3 hours and offers stunning views of the western part of the lake. This narrow trail takes you on a moderate level hike, like Tubbs Hill you can enjoy a beautiful sunset here.
