COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho. aka ‘CDA’ is becoming famous for the new technology companies moving here. XCraft CDA has made a new home in downtown Coeur d’Alene on Sherman Ave. Developing patents and building unique drones for recreation and commercial use.

XCraft was founded in 2014 by JD Claridge and Charles Manning. Making a big splash in the drone community with their XPlusOne model drone. It flies 60 mph, can hover in place, take awesome video, land, and take off vertically. It is designed like no other drone on the market and used for farming and mining aerial inspection.

XCraft CDA was a big winner on “Shark Tank” TV show. They convinced 5 of the “Sharks”
to invest $1.5 million dollars into the company.

XCraft Drones moved to CDA and doubled employees. Moving all operations under one roof. Now assembly, shipping, testing, research, and development are working closely together. The latest project is the “Phone-Drone.” If you have a smartphone then you have what you need to fly this drone. Using the sensors already on your phone to control the drone.

JD is an electrical and aerospace engineer with experience in operations and finance. JD created a classroom space in the lower level of the building. Open hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F. This space was designed to help teach kids about robotics, drones, and Entrepreneurship!

U.S. Senator Jim Risch, Chairman of the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee. Named XCraft Drones of Coeur d’Alene as the Small Business of the Month and they will be recognized in the Congressional Record of the U.S. Senate.
