Coeur d’Alene (korr də-layn) is the biggest city in Kootenai County, Idaho.  The estimated population of Coeur d’Alene in 2018 is 52,218. The city is located about 30 mi (48 km) east of the larger city of Spokane, Washington. Coeur d’Alene is the most populated city in the Idaho Panhandle. The city is situated on the north shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene, 25-mile (40 km) in length. The City of Coeur d’Alene is also called the “Lake City,” with the initials, “CDA.”

The city of Coeur d’Alene has grown significantly in the last 4 years, due to a substantial increase in tourism & new technology start-up companies.
