Ah, FIREWORKS!

.

A sudden and powerful display of celebratory explosives that has always been a joy for those who get to see them. Our little town of Coeur D’Alene has made and makes wonderful strides in that utility. From the holiday season to the restless nights of summer have we shown our heart with such toys, shining the night sky with colorful shades on our day of independence and vibrant casts of our unity on Christmas and holidays alike.

.

Visible for miles in all directions is our lighting ceremonies and outbursts, not taunting nor mocking those not with us but inviting and beckoning all to join. Each event that has such light shows are so vibrant and alive.  The people of our town and visitors enjoying the beauty and resonating with their loved ones, basking in the sun or bundled up in the blizzard.

Free speech was once not a household concept, but it was won alongside many other precious liberties that we celebrate our Independence Day, and on the Fourth do we shine CDA as bright as the North Star to appreciate just that; Independence. Our forefathers re-wrote history in the efforts to build a nation by and for the people, the first in history to write the rules our government functions upon, not following those written for us by a government.

.

.

We, the people, for the first time in history, built a nation by independent thought and freedom, and there is no better demonstration of that enticing idealism than our Fourth of July fireworks ceremony. It is our history to make noise, and damn are these loud. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors alike down for the ceremony, for all and more are welcome. The more the merrier, for we can never show too much unity. It’s the only angle we have in a divisive world such as today.

.

.

These events are only possible by us joining up and banding together. United we stand, divided we fall. We celebrate unity on the Fourth, in reminiscence of a time considered so far away yet so close, so forgotten yet so prevalent. It seems like we’ve overlooked our capabilities, ironic given our nation’s history. People seem so disconnected from each other, trying to have “more” or be “better” than one another, acting as if these things are somehow important.

.

We’re all the same. Our histories have paved a different path giving different perspectives, but we were born all the same; human. And how human is it to show celebration for the hard work of our predecessors? To celebrate our progress? Very, but what is also human is to forget that we must continue to uphold these principles, for recently we have forgotten to do so. In a time like now, conscious people is what we need.

.

.

With the problems prevalent, we need to switch it up a bit. What else is prevalent, is the drop of the ball in New York for New Years. Isn’t that a wonderful way to celebrate the dawn of a new time? Well, we have our own way of celebrating that here in CDA; more fireworks.

.

.

On New Year’s Eve here in Coeur D’Alene, we have a lighting ceremony comparable to the one on Independence Day, except we celebrate the dawn of a new year instead of our Independence Day, however both exciting times for the people. We all brighten the darkness to appreciate the new times every year, celebrating unity and the oncoming of better days.

.

.

So, come to Coeur D’Alene for our lighting ceremonies! Or our schools, our restaurants’, parks, community, I could go on here. The point is, we’re a beautiful town willing to accept more beautiful people, and spread the happiness and hospitality from here to anywhere we can. The more the merrier.  These bright colored demonstrations mean nothing to the spirit they’re lit off in the name of, and can only merely represent just that. The heart-warming hospitality of our people is more than ready to be yours. It’s all for one here, hopefully, that can draw the like-minded and spiral into something great. Let’s light off some fireworks in the name of it, shall we?
